The aim of this study is to analyze the role of digital games in learning mathematical concepts in elementary school children. This research employed a qualitative approach, and data were collected through semi-structured interviews with 33 elementary school children in Tehran. Nvivo software was used for data analysis, and the processes of open, axial, and selective coding were applied to identify key themes and concepts. The results showed that digital games had a positive impact on learning mathematical concepts. Children reported that games increased their motivation, improved problem-solving skills, and enhanced their focus on learning mathematics. Additionally, the use of digital games helped reduce fear and anxiety when dealing with math problems. The games provided an engaging and interactive environment that contributed to better understanding of mathematical concepts. This study demonstrated that digital games can be an effective tool in learning mathematical concepts in elementary school children. Given the positive impact of these games on motivation, focus, and problem-solving skills, their use in educational processes is recommended. Furthermore, examining the specific features of digital games and their long-term effects should be a focus of future research.
