Plagiarism Policy
The Journal of Cognition, Behavior, Learning maintains a strict anti-plagiarism policy to uphold the integrity and originality of its published work. All submissions undergo thorough plagiarism screening using iThenticate software to detect any form of duplication, similarity, or unethical borrowing.
Manuscripts with significant levels of similarity to previously published works will be rejected outright. Authors are encouraged to ensure that their work is entirely original and appropriately cited. Cases of plagiarism are handled in accordance with the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) guidelines, and any detected misconduct may result in rejection, retraction, or further disciplinary action.
Article Processing Charges (APCs)
To sustain the open-access model and cover publication costs, the Journal of Cognition, Behavior, Learning charges an Article Processing Charge (APC) of 1,500,000 Tomans for accepted manuscripts. This fee covers the costs associated with peer review, editing, formatting, and online publication.
There are no charges for submission or initial review. The APC is only applicable once a manuscript has been accepted for publication. JCBL is committed to transparency and ensures that authors are informed about all publication-related costs upfront.
Peer-Review Process
The Journal of Cognition, Behavior, Learning employs a rigorous double-blind peer-review process, ensuring that both authors and reviewers remain anonymous throughout the evaluation. This process upholds objectivity, fairness, and the highest standards of academic scrutiny.
- Initial Screening: Submissions are first evaluated by the editorial team for relevance, originality, and adherence to journal guidelines.
- Reviewer Assignment: Each manuscript is assigned to two or three expert reviewers based on their subject expertise.
- Review Process: Reviewers evaluate the manuscript for its scientific merit, methodological rigor, originality, and contribution to the field.
- Decision: Based on the reviewers’ feedback, the editorial board makes one of the following decisions:
- Accept with minor or major revisions.
- Reject the manuscript.
The review process is designed to be efficient, with decisions typically communicated within 6–8 weeks of submission.

The Journal of Cognition, Behavior, Learning ensures the long-term preservation and accessibility of its content through robust archiving and repository policies. All articles published in JCBL are archived in reputable repositories and databases, including:
