The aim of the present study is to propose a model of communication skills for principals of first-stage elementary schools in Tehran. In terms of purpose, this study is applied; regarding data type, it is qualitative; and in terms of nature and type, it is an emergent grounded theory study. The target population included experts in the field of management, from whom 15 experts were selected for interviews using the snowball sampling method. The research instrument was a semi-structured interview, through which the dimensions, components, and indicators of the communication skills model for principals of first-stage elementary schools in Tehran were developed. Initially, an in-depth literature review and interviews with experts were conducted to prepare the interview guide. Subsequently, open coding was employed to extract indicators, which were then categorized into dimensions, components, and indicators using axial coding. The categorized structure was sent to the 15 experts for review. Selective coding, supported by interviews and brainstorming sessions, was used to finalize the dimensions, components, and indicators. As a result, the model was finalized with 3 dimensions, 15 components, and 112 indicators for the communication skills of principals of first-stage elementary schools in Tehran. After final validation and prioritization by the experts, the model's dimensions, components, and indicators were visualized. The finalized model was once again validated by experts to ensure its credibility.
